Venue 221 is a high-end event venue with a lounge-type, exclusive feel. Cindy, the owner, was referred to me by another client for a full brand package, and I could immediately tell how passionate she was about the creation of her identity for Venue 221. She had a very specific vision in mind for the logo - to mimic the shape and feeling of a mid-century modern light fixture called a sputnik. The only sputnik I was familiar with at the time was Russian built, but once she showed me pictures of the light fixtures that she had adored while growing up, I fell in love with the idea.
