Whew! July has gone by in a crazy whirlwind! Between visiting family, traveling for work, and 3 weddings in 4 weeks, I've been gone more than I've been home. But not to fret...I did have time to create the FREE wallpaper for August. Please share and enjoy this tribal inspired wallpaper design for your best robot-friends!Read More
It's been such an exciting summer so far, and it's not over yet! This is my first year experiencing wedding season as a freelancer and I LOVE IT! It's such a joy to be a part of a couple's special day and help make everything beautiful.
This FREE wallpaper design is inspired by the soft colors I've been seeing this summer with a pop of gold, just for fun. Please share and enjoy!Read More
Venue 221 is a high-end event venue with a lounge-type, exclusive feel. Cindy, the owner, was referred to me by another client for a full brand package, and I could immediately tell how passionate she was about the creation of her identity for Venue 221. She had a very specific vision in mind for the logo - to mimic the shape and feeling of a mid-century modern light fixture called a sputnik. The only sputnik I was familiar with at the time was Russian built, but once she showed me pictures of the light fixtures that she had adored while growing up, I fell in love with the idea. We built her logo around this idea and her vision to put everything against a charcoal gray background to really make it pop and give it a mysterious vibe.Read More
This month's FREE wallpaper design has got a little art deco twist. I was privileged enough to create some Gatsby inspired wedding invitations for a couple earlier in May and was so excited about it that I had to recycle this pattern for a wallpaper design!Read More
Blush and pink for Spring! I finally busted out my summer clothes and will be wearing nothing but flip flops and tank tops until the leaves start falling. This design may feel a little romantic because I'm getting married this month and my brain has been occupied by all things wedding related! The experience that I've been getting by doing wedding invitations has been invaluable in planning my own special day. I plan to share my own wedding designs here on the blog once I get myself back together, so keep checking back!Read More
Holy, April really snuck up on me! Last week I looked at my calendar and about had a panic attack when I realized it was less than a week until April. That means two whole months of full-time freelancing under my belt and less than two months until my wedding. Time is just slipping away from me!
Either way, it's time for a new FREE wallpaper for your robots! Spring is officially here and hopefully it will warm up and all the umbrellas won't actually be necessary - but they sure are cute! Please share and enjoy!!!Read More
It's officially March and that much closer to spring/summer weather. Yay! It's also officially one month since I decided to pursue freelance full-time. It was a big, scary decision, but I definitely think it was the right one. Now I can devote more time to projects that are fun and where I can be of value to my clients. Also…more time to make fun wallpapers! I'm celebrating with a wallpaper that has two of my favorite things: pattern and the color teal!Read More
Guys, it turns out it's a really small world. And social media makes it even smaller! I recently got referred through Facebook to design some t-shirts for an up-and-coming country band out of Fort Collins, Colorado. The Zachariah Dean Band needed some promotional t-shirts to sell to fans and give out to contest winners. Turns out, the lead singer is from the small town in North Dakota where I grew up (Williston)! We had been emailing back and forth a few times, and only realized this when I finally spoke with Zachariah on the phone and he recognized the area code!Read More
