Kris Oyen is a part-time photographer, and long time friend, located in Beulah, North Dakota. I started receiving messages from Kris a couple years ago when he first started getting into photography. We would exchange tips and share our photographs through Flickr, but his skillset very quickly surpassed mine. So when he told me that he was planning to venture into professional photography, I thought it was a great idea and was even more excited when he said he wanted me to design his logo.
Kris was looking to be selective with clients and provide high end shots vs. Sally Bag of Doughnuts who doesn’t care, so he needed a sophisticated logo to showcase that. He also wanted to stay true to his roots and feature wheat to show a sense of home in the Midwest.
