When people visit your website there's always an end goal. An action you want them to perform, a product you want them to buy, some sort of next step you want them to take towards hiring you. But how do you get people to do these things? A big part of getting your visitors to do you what you want is by establishing trust with them so that they are willing to invest in you. People want to invest their money in credible products and services, they want to know that they can trust you with their money. Everything that you do on your website contributes to this in some way, but here a few things you can implement right away to start building that trust with your users.
Hold on to your butts...for the new FREE wallpaper design for June featuring a super fun dinosaur pattern! A few weeks ago my sister-in-law said she was redecorating my nephew's room with a dinosaur theme and I jumped at the chance to practice my illustration skill to make him some new wall art. And then I decided that I loved these little dudes so much that I wanted to look at them all month. So I made a cute little pattern with them and the rest is (pre)history...hah. Anyway, I hope this brings you as many giggles as it has brought me. Plaster these buddies on all your digital screens and please share + enjoy!
P.S. My favorite dinosaur is the iguanodon, in case you were wondering.
City Pop is a gourmet popcorn company with brick and mortar shops in Denver + the surrounding areas (including in Winter Park, which I saw when we went skiing this year!). They have so many delicious and unique flavors and it's all locally produced, so you know you're getting an amazing product!
Chris from City Pop came to me last year needing to design some fun and unique labels for special occasions. The idea is that their customers will be able to buy tins of popcorn and pick the label for the occasion so that it makes a great gift! I absolutely loved the idea and was so excited to get started after we discussed the aesthetic and purpose.
I may have jumped the gun thinking of Spring when I created this design, because as I was writing this post over the weekend I was hunkering down in the middle of the blizzard here in Denver. But I just love how this fresh, fun lemon pattern turned out that I'm willing to chalk this one up to wishful thinking. Here's to hoping that summer is right around the corner...and in the meantime, please share and enjoy this FREE digital wallpaper design to keep all your screens looking sweet!
Integrated Therapeutics is a physical therapy business that takes a wholistic approach to helping people get back to what they love doing best. I had worked with the owner Rachel previously on a few small projects, but when she was ready to take her business online with a website last year I was so pleased to be able to work with her again!
Hey guys! Fancy meeting you here. Well, it's that time of the month again. No! Not that time! Time to suddenly freak out about how fast the year is going (it's 2nd quarter already?!) and also time to freshen up your digital devices. The FREE April wallpaper design is here and it has so many of my favorite things: watercolor, pattern, hand-drawn elements, vibrant colors, oh my! This one is already becoming a favorite of mine. Grab it as fast as you can and plaster it anywhere with a screen! Please share and enjoy!
I recently had a conversation with a friend about who my favorite people to work with are and, I realized that one thing all my favorite clients have in common is that they’re brimming with personality. Not only do they have loads of personality, but they’ve let me inject it into their brand to make a one-of-a-kind identity for them. By doing this with their brand, they are already building a relationship with their target audience.
I'm so excited to finally be sharing this logo + brand design process! Wasted Kitchen + Pub came to me last year in the very beginning stages of planning their restaurant. They wanted to establish a strong brand identity and unique logo incorporating the core values of their restaurant - which is to use every part of the food so that there is little to no waste. For them, that means using everything from nose to tail and from root to tip (such clever taglines!). I immediately fell in love with the idea and wanted to create a logo design for them that visually exemplified just that.
Everyone needs a website at this point. If you don't have one for your business, chances are that you're missing out on a good number of opportunities. But if you don't have the time or resources to devote to building a big, strategic website with lots of bells and whistles, at the very least you'll want to make sure you have these 3 important pieces of information on your site and they are front and center where people can find them.
